I tend to get lost... a lot.....

Well....not lost.... because I know where I am....I just tend to get off course a lot. These occurrences happen because I tend to day dream or in this case I was trying to find a cd.....I know I don't belong on the road, but when I am not working, I'm driving. I have a long commute, so I get bored....But I digress. So, I was supposed to get the 5 north while driving on the 10 west, but instead kept driving. Oops. I drove around a little until I saw the 110 Pasedena and remembered that it connected to the 5 fwy and that it had awesome tunnels! I saw a photo opportunity. It wasn't the best picture on account that I was driving (I know...another driving violation). However, I think it looks pretty cool once it has been edited. Bask in its light randomness.

I think night pictures are becoming my favorite past time. Well, actually I don't have much of a choice, since I always get out of work late. It rained today....an anomaly for southern california. However, after the rain the sky was beautiful even at 8 pm. I took these pictures using my nikon D3100. Once again I used the long exposure option to capture as much light as I could. There was also a lamp shining nearby, which contributed to the pine trees' vibrant colors. I decided to give Picasa a try in order to edit the pictures. I really liked the results and it is a lot easier to use than Adobe photoshop. 

I was standing on my dad's pick up truck bed, when the neighbor stopped by our house.  He must have thought I was completely daft for standing in the cold with my tripod...but who visits at such an odd hour? Enjoy.

I don't really believe in ghosts, but I enjoy creating them. This is me being creepy and weird on my front lawn. It was dark out, but I left the shutter open for a longer exposure. I think the vibrant colors are cool.

I had peruvian food for the first time at a place called Inca Trails, but I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of my dish. I remembered when dessert came along. It was dark inside the restaurant, which is why it is so dark.

I was really mean to someone the night before. I said and did somethings which I felt really bad afterwards. So in order to make it up to that person I made this book. I ended up apologizing and gave him the book...I think things are ok...LOL.

It was an unusually clear night in the valley. Many stars were visible and I was  curious to see if I could capture them with my dSLR. It took me a few tries but here you go.

I am an only child, but these two are the closet to a sister and brother I will ever have. I am always happy to have these two around and you can always guarantee loads of laughs when we're together.

It was my day off and I don't get much sunlight nowadays.  It was such a beautiful morning, so I went for a walk.  This picture was taken at one of the nurseries near my house. We have several nurseries and community gardens nearby.

I love books and I especially love me some Agatha Christie.  Now-a-days, people purchase their books digitally, but I'm old fashioned and rather have the hard copy. I also have a confession, I will buy multiple copies of the same book if I like it a lot. The Then There Were None novel is my second copy. Tee hee.

Here I am giving the kitchen another try. I successfully made carrot cake from scratch. However, I tried making gravy for some swedish meatballs that I wanted to take to work, but it came out too watery. Thankfully my mom saved the day by adding flour. It's really sad, I am really incompetent when it comes to the kitchen....sigh.

I bought a new bookbinding book and I learned how to make this Long stitch book. As you may have noticed, I used a cookie box as a cover. I used colored copy paper for the pages.

I was thrilled with my new book that I tried making a Japanese stab book the following day. This style of book was a bit more difficult. I used my Japanese punch to make the holes. I used a 1.5 or 2 mm punch, but the holes were still too small. I managed to break 2 needles.....My fingers were pretty sore as well.
